Join Hawthorn Huffers.

For people with COPD & other chronic lung diseases.

Hawthorn Huffers is a lung maintenance and support group for those who have completed a lung rehabilitation program.

It offers an opportunity for you to continue to benefit from supervised exercise and enjoy the company of others with similar health problems.

Hawthorn Huffers meets on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month

from 1.45 pm to 3 pm (except on public holidays).

Meetings are held at West Hawthorn Uniting Church Hall, 10 Power Street, Hawthorn. (Melways Map 45 B8).

Convenient car parking is accessed off Power Street or Church Street.

The group is supervised by a physiotherapist, experienced in working with respiratory problems.

Sessions include warm up, a timed walk (inside the large hall) followed by a varied exercise program.

Everyone works at their own pace and within their own limitations.

Sessions close with afternoon tea, a chance for a chat and for sharing information.

Facilities at the hall are excellent and totally suitable for such a group.

A charge of $5 is made for each meeting attended.

You will be warmly welcomed.
